For all of those working in data — if you haven’t already — I highly recommend reading “The Big Red Book” Readings in Database Systems by Mike Stonebraker, Joe Hellerstein & Peter Bailis…there is so much institutional knowledge about what works/doesn’t in database systems — stand on the shoulders of giants — don’t reinvent the wheel…
